# A Unified.to alternative for email and calendar.

Unified.to is one API across CRM, HRIS, ATS, messaging and dozens more categories. Workwae does one thing: mail, calendars and contacts for Gmail, Microsoft 365 and IMAP.

Why teams switch

## Where Workwae is different.

Unified.to is ahead on breadth and compliance, listed in the table below. These are the gaps teams switch for when email is the integration that matters.

### A mail model, not a chat model

Unified.to maps Gmail and Outlook onto its Messaging objects: channels, messages and events. Workwae models mailboxes, threads, drafts, attachments, labels and full-text search. T2, T3

### Synced mail with an ordered feed

Workwae syncs each mailbox and emits ordered, resumable changes, as signed webhooks or a [change feed](https://workwae.com/glossary#change-feed). Unified.to is a real-time passthrough that stores no customer data at rest. T5

### Send controls for agents

Workwae keys carry `read`, `write` and `send` scopes, and its [MCP](https://workwae.com/glossary#mcp) server confirms every send by default. Unified.to’s MCP server narrows tools with a permissions parameter. T6

Choosing

## When Unified.to is the better fit.

### Mail is one integration of many

If the same product also reads CRMs, HR systems or ticketing tools, one API for all of them beats a mail-only API plus others. Workwae does not cover those categories.

### Nothing may be stored

A passthrough design keeps customer mail out of the vendor’s database. Workwae syncs and indexes mailboxes, which is what makes its search and ordered change feed possible.

### EU or Australian hosting

Unified.to offers European and Australian regions on its higher plans. Workwae hosts in the United States only.

### Compliance paperwork

Unified.to has a SOC 2 Type II report and a trust center. Workwae has no SOC 2 report yet.

FAQ

## Questions teams ask.

**Does Workwae cover anything besides mail, calendars and contacts?**

No. It has no CRM, HR, ticketing or chat-app connectors. Keep Unified.to for those and use Workwae where mail depth matters, or the reverse.

**How is pricing structured?**

Unified.to bills by API calls per month. Workwae has a Free plan, and paid plans you buy yourself in the console, through Stripe: a base fee plus metered usage (connected accounts, sends, AI and storage), with the prices shown before you subscribe. See [Pricing](https://workwae.com/pricing) for what each plan meters.

**Where is data hosted?**

In the United States. There is no regional choice.

**Do you have a SOC 2 report?**

No, SOC 2 is planned and not started. [Security](https://workwae.com/security) describes how we protect connected accounts.
