Alternatives

A Cronofy alternative when you need mail too.

Cronofy is scheduling infrastructure for calendars. Workwae puts mail, calendars and contacts for Gmail, Microsoft 365 and IMAP behind one hosted API.

Why teams switch

Where Workwae is different.

Cronofy is ahead on scheduling, listed in the table below. These are the gaps teams switch for when the product needs more than calendars.

Mail and contacts in the same API

Messages, threads, drafts, search, sending and address books next to calendars, on the same accounts and webhooks. Cronofy’s developer docs cover calendars, scheduling and meetings. C1

Microsoft national clouds

GCC High, DoD and 21Vianet accounts, each signed in and called in its own cloud. Cronofy’s Microsoft 365 notes describe Graph for Office 365 tenants and name no national clouds. C5

Agents scoped to the mailbox

API keys with read, write and send scopes, and an MCP server over mail, calendars and contacts. Cronofy’s MCP server schedules meetings through its Scheduler. C4

Choosing

When Cronofy is the better fit.

Scheduling is the product

Complex multi-person, multi-step availability, embedded UI and meeting recording are Cronofy’s focus. Workwae lists slots and books them; the page, reminders and rescheduling are yours to build.

Data must stay outside the US

Cronofy runs separate data centers in five other jurisdictions. Workwae hosts in the United States only.

Least-privilege calendar access

Cronofy separates events your app created from events the user made, and asks for edit rights on the latter only when needed. C12

On-premises Exchange

Cronofy reaches on-premises Exchange calendars through EWS, which stays on Exchange Server; Microsoft is retiring it only in Exchange Online. Workwae connects those servers for mail only, over IMAP and SMTP.

FAQ

Questions teams ask.

Can Workwae replace Cronofy for scheduling?

For booking links and free/busy across up to 20 accounts, yes. There is no embedded scheduler component, no reschedule call (cancel and book again) and no meeting recording. See bookings.

Do users sign in to Workwae the way they do to Cronofy?

Yes, through a hosted connect page or headless OAuth. Users on your own Google or Microsoft app can be imported without consenting again; see the import flow.

Where is data hosted?

In the United States. There is no regional choice.

Do you have a SOC 2 report?

No, SOC 2 is planned and not started. Security describes how we protect connected accounts.

What does Workwae cost?

Workwae has a Free plan, and paid plans you buy yourself in the console, through Stripe. A paid plan is a base fee plus metered usage, and the console shows the prices before you subscribe.
